On the I night t of 22 August 1954 at 2223 the sources observed one point of
light moving rapidly'across the sky. The object was a pale yellowish-white color.
The object was observed for about fifteen minutes. Sources location at the time
was Fort Screven on Tybee Island, Savannah Beach, Georgia. There was no unusual
account for the sighting.

Nr. cooperative and courteous and seemed to be of average
intelligonce. His edncation includes coapletion of f high school and 3 years of
college. It was not deemed necessary to inter Miss as she was
at time of sighting.
Buring the investigation I contacted the 117th ACaW unit at Travis Field, The
Savannah Hlter Center, the Weather Bureau at Travis Field, The Weather Officer at
Hnter ArB, Tower Operationa Officer at Hunter ArB and at Travis Field, Air
Operations Officer of Air National Guard at Travis Field and The Radio Controlled
Aerial Targets Section at Camp Stewart, Georgia, none of which had seen reported
unidentified object or could account for same. Therefore, I as preparing officer
am unable to determine what the object was or could have been.

On 26 August 1954, Mr, Eugene T. York, Special Agent, OSI, Hunter AFB
reported to Colonel Watkins, Base Commander that he had received a report from
a Mr. of Savannah to the effect of some unusual sighting in
the sky 'near Tybee Island.
