1. Length of observation; Pfc. Raila, 5 minutes. Mr. @MUMBy 7 minutes,
Angular velocity ; estinated in sight at 35 degrees elevation 6323 mill in azimuth.
Out of sight at 70 degrees af elevation, 3328 milis in asimuth. Object estinated te
be at approximately 16,000 D feet by Pfo. Raila. After further interrogation, both
observers stated the sighting coulda net have been a jet aircraft.

3. Statement of Capt. Robert E. Warren, Direction Center Chief, AFSC 1635 -
1221, Rated Pilet. "It is a camson policy of pilots flying inte the Washington area
to turn an landing lights prior te entering traffic patterns, particularly during
hasy condi tions Red lights could well be the passing light and navagational light
installed on conventional aircraft. In this case, all lights would disappear abrupt
after the aircraft passed overhead of the observers, This station has no recorded
