"Doday at about 1l:45 AM we observed a
phenomenon that should very much like to
have explained:

fcamlike snow-white, gleaming objects, float-
ing and tumbling along on the breeze. Some
were high were high in the in the sky, sky, mere mere white white specks, specks,
others traveled traveled close to the ground and .
three eettled eettled in our garden; one about about 4 4
feet by 3 feet draped itself over a over a rose roBe
bush, another about 10 feet by3 or 4 feet
hung in a willov willow tree One One small mass mass
about 2 feet feet t the ground. They all
looked like eud detergent (as (as one
might see them in washing machine). machine). Snowy-
white, shiny, consisting white, shiny, consisting of tiny foamy foamy cells.
It was 78 degrees in the sun It was 78 degrees in the sun 88 BB we examined
the substances, yet th the substances, yet the foam was was icy cold
to the touch, and it disintegrate
immediately, leaving our hands an in-
visible, sticky and somewhat gritty resi-
due. It had absolutely no odor. Less
than 5 minutes after settling on the leaves,
the substances completely disappeared, but
we saW tiny whitish flecks on the tree.
While examining these, a huge mass of foam
came floating and tumbling about 50 feet
up -- it was at least 20 feet tlong and
about half ride B and L.P.

formations of 'lights'in this area and over
a relatively y short period of time. In every
instance each sighting was observed by two

the sighting took place at night. The first
sighting was by accident, those following
were during planned "Irregular Phenomena
Watches", taken
Central Standard
Time; 2015 to 2030 25 0ct 53
Firet sighting: 2015 00 formation pass-
ing seven lights (or glow-
ing disce shining with a dull white glow,
Passed from approximate angle in sky,90
degrees (straight up) to 30 degrees in two
or three seconds. They seemed to
high, at least high, at least above above 15,000 ft.
Second sighting; Second ghting; 2020 (approx) Two
groups, no formation or number discernible, groups, no forme nation or number discernible,
moving N to S moving N to S at about seventy degrees and at about seventy degrees and
the other at about 3o degrees high in the west- the other at about 30 degrees high in the west-
ern quadrant. No heights ventured except the ern quadrant. No heights ventured except the
first group was higher yet closer to our ob- our ob-
servation point. The second group moved'much
elower than the first, to our vision.
Third sighting: 2025 (approx) 'One group
of two discs moving 65 degrees high
in weatern quadrant, high and
view a total of two seconds.
Fourth sighting: 2030 group of two
discs coming from the NW then veering out of
sight toward the east. Passed directly over
observation point. total of about
one second.
Time: 2345 25 Oct 53
Sighted largest "V" formation yet, from
eight to twelve glowing points moving from N
then veering out of sight to the west. Ex-
tremely high if they were the same size of
those previously sighte sight about three
seconds.
Time: 2110 31 Oct 53.
Sighted large "y" formation from the NW
veering to ESE, directly overhead, height and
speed not discermible by observers.

ing discs or lights of very dull white light.
Low on west horizon, computed not to be too
high and moving much slower than any other
previous sighting. The mation did not
seem to be squeezed by th ffects of perepec-
tive due to distance, it seemed this
was the case then each was at adif-
ferent level and in formation much like World
War Two strategic bombing formations.
This of course
based on what we saw.
Since these sightings the Observers of the
weather station have been keeping their eyes
open on all good observation nights for more
of these Irregular Phenomena. These are all
the sightings we have observed to date.
I would like to point out that all sight-
ings in this letter were wer seen by one or more seen by more
qualified Weather qualified Weather Obsorverg Observers who yho are familiar are familiar
with Atmospheric Phenomens Phenomens. All but one (the All but one (the
