1. Attached for your information is one (1) copy of report of
investigation by Special Agent CHESTM A, CUMMINS, 14th OSI District,
file 24-155, dated 31 October 1953, subject as above,

2. Investigation was initiated by the District Commander, 14th
CSI District, Lowry Air Force Base, predicated upon information re-
ceived from the Airdrome Officer on 19 October 1953 to the effect that
four (4) airmen had reported an unidentified aerial object over Lowry
AFB at approximately 1935 hours, 19 October 1953.

3. No further investigative action is contemplated, and the files
of the 14th OSI District are considered closed,

4. Attention is invited to the provisions of AMR 124-1 which pro-
hibit release of classified information to unauthor sons.

SYNOPSIS

fied aerial object over Lowry 473 te the Airdrome Officer at approximiely 1935
hours, 19 Oetober 1955. Statements obtained from aimmen reflect they saw a
light moving erratically across the sky. Light was visible anproximately tea

to twelve minutes and turned alternately bright white and yellowish, and was
noviag from a southerly direction acrous Lowry AYR, Light circular in shape

nod omitted no seund. Radiosonde Section of the Li-4 ‘eather Detachment con~
firmed releasing a Rawinsonde Lallooa over lowry 473 at 1528 hours, 19 October
1933, te whieh was attached a light for tmeking purposes. Jladiosoade Jection
released another belloon at 0100 hours 20 October 1955, which was observed and
had characteristics of reported object. iting A-2 Officer, Lowry 473, rersonally
