(4) DSSORIPTION OF OBJNCT SIGHTED, A brircht blucish-
white lisht, with a desree of brightness and color very renar'cebly
similiar to that of the plenet Venus (compared at the kime of
sighting es it passed, on it's course, within 10 to 15° of are of
this planet). It's size appeared to be approximately twice as
large as the brightest let magnitude star or planet visible in the
sicy at that time, It's brishtness from the time of sichting until
lest observation did not not noticeable vary,

A. Location of witnesses (Sarcacks No. 7-511)
B, Horizon obstruction (Rase Post Exchanze)
6, Object travelled from "0" to "D" in approxi ately
two (2) seconds, on course "A" to "B" described in paragraph (5),
BE, At point "D" the object slowed to practically a stop,
then moved.on in a fish-tailinz motion at a drastically reéuced
speed, stopping at point "E" for anvroximtely 15 to 30 seconds,
taking approximately three to four minutes to reach point "7", It
was Observed hovering at point "F" for avvroximately two minutes,
then the writer proceeded to the Ha Sq Section, 255th AB Wing,
orderly room, to call the field control tower, which, could not be
reached as phone was not answered, Upon return to noint of initial
observation, about three or four minutes later, the object could no
longer be seen. PFO Brown, who had remained to wetch object, while
the writer ettempted to call field control tower, had gone into the
barracks to obtain additional witnesses. Therefore, neither of the
witnesses observed the objects departure.
DISCUSSIOi
The writer is thoroughly familier with all conventional air
craft lights, meteors, etc., of which he is certain that it was neither.
The objects altitude is unknown, but from appearance in relation to a
thin scettering of cirro-stratus clouds (about 5 to 10%) of which it
was above, it is believed that it ranged in the stratosphere or high-
er. The speed could not be estimated due to leck of triangliating
reference points, and unknown altitudes, but, from past aircraft
flight observation experience, it's speed, other than the three
hovering positions, was in all probability in excess of = thousand
miles per hour at all times. The first portion of sighted flight,
"CS" to" referenced in paragraph (6), had to he in the thousands of
mph catagory. It emmitted no audible noise, Surrounding area noise
level was exceptionally auite, as a result of early morning hours,
PFC Brown, and the writer, are positive that this was an intellezently
controlled object, unusual in maneuvering performance cavabilities,
and in short, "like nothing we've ever seen before".
