An unid object was sighted at a tely 1945 MST and again at
2300 by ‘ice and Mr. & Mrs. » Bll of Slack Hawk, South
Dakota. Mis noticed the object when she happened to zlance toward the

sky and saw this red glow which was traveling back and forth from north to south.
The object did this for quite some time and then disanzeared behind o hill. This
object gave off a red glow and then changed to a whitish yellow glow. The time
of this was aoproximetely 1945. Mr. & Mrs. @@BMBh noticed th- object st the tine
and report *he same as Miss QR. They then went to o drive in movie and sav
the objec’ »gain. They ssid it seemed to hover over the screen and then chanzed
to a brilliant white. After « few minutes, it duddenly disa> eared.

; On & Aucust 1953, on uniientified object report was susmitted to this orzani-
zation from the Rapid City “1lter Center and it stated that these people had seen

the object.

Either these »vple have seen something or it is merely a figment

of their imagination due «» ‘he long hours they spend on the GOC post in Black

Hawk.

AIR INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION REPORT

On 15 September 1953, at approximately 1945 hours \ST, Miss Sn
of Black Hawk, South Dakota was attending a 4-H meeting when she glanced into the
sky and saw a red glow which seemed to be traveling a>cr 150 to 200 mph.
The children at the meeting also saw the object but Miss bstates that their
eges range from nine to fifteen years and it would be almost impossible to get a
complete and accurate report of the object from them. The object was seen for
aporoximately thirty minutes and then disappeared behind a hill.

At the same time, Mr. & Mrs. rey also of Sleek Hawk, noticed the
object end reported the same as Miss to this corcenization.

At 2330 hours MST, Mr. & Mrs. agein saw the object which appeared
cver ‘he movie screen at a Drive In Theater. They stated that the obiect seemed
to be traveling closer +o the screen and then suddenly turned to a brilliant vhite
suck a3 en automodile headlicht and then disapteesred behind as hill to the north.

The sky at these *!imesa was clear of clouds and there were ~any stars. Th
moon was in the west at the ‘time and was giving off a very dull «low.

Me. & Mrs, QAR stated that they watched the object for ocorcximately
twenty minutes before it (isappeared.

This object seemed to appear to stand still at times ani also to flicker
such as a star would do. Mr. & Mrs. Mijgmaiso stated that the object turned
te a yellow zlow tut for « few seconds ani then changed to the brilliant white.

Comments of Preparing Officers

All three civilians reporting this object have been involved before in
flying object reports, it is the personal opinion of the undersigned that if
the objects matched the descriptian's as reported, they would have been seen
