The attached reoort is in refarence to an unidentified object seen in
the sky at about 2235 EDST, 16 Aug 1953, by seven airmen, at approxinately
250 degrees. It has been described as diamond shaped or as a pie section
with the piont downe laying on its side. Its color was a solid
orang9. It dismpueared no again weaker for

4. The observers were located about three and six ailes east the towm of
Ranore, ontario, Canada. The oojset was alaost or completely stationary in the
West at approximately 260 wad. It was hovering very low on the horizon. It .

the barracks to get a pack of cigarettes. Cn return I noticed through
the trees in a
fire. Upon noticing this, I drew it to the attention of A/2c Lgsakowski.
I asked hin to call operations for a check and location so that if it was
a forest fire, I cold to tne Lands and Forests Depar tment of
Ontario.
