At ancroximately 13/04552 February 1953 an unidentified red ligat was sighted in
the vicinity of Elmendorf ArB by the following memvers of the 39ta Air Police Squad-
ron: A/2C DARCE R. ODOM, AF 13356875, A/aC JEWELL W. WILLINGHAM, AF 13 396 dal, A, 36
AUGUSTUS J. WORMUTH, AP 23 746 279, A/3C ROFERT A. WOOD, AF 27 O11 420, and 4/5 NORMAN
S, MOTTS, JR, aF 12 342 976.
The object is described as a large red Licht, estimate! to be thirty-six (36) |
inches in ijiameter from a distance or 3/stns of a mile and an altitude of 1500 feet.
Its shane was not clearly defined, but appeared to be round. It emitted no sound nor
