Six (6) vomen report observing an unusual aerial object in the vicinity of
Fklitna, Alaska (6l degrees 28' N - V49 degrees l0' W) on 23 Jamuary 1953. (The
aighting, a shiny, bright object deseribed as twice the size of a star, was watched
for aporoximately two (2) hours. It was first noted on an azimuth of iso dagrees
with an elevation of aprroximately 3o de grees and had moved imperceptibly to aprroxi-
disuppeared with no apparent chenge in elevation.

reported to have flashed between the two peaks. This object was reportedly seen
