The following unidentified flying object
noar Misawa, Japan at 1939I, 29 Dec 52. The object was a brilliant light that
changed in color from red to white and was seen by 2 crew members of a B-26 for
approximately 5 to 7 minutes. The light appeared to be moving at a speed equiva-
lent to that of the aircraft at approximately 4o-70 nautical miles SW of the a/c.
Object seemed to descending slowly moving to the west, finally disappearing
in clouds.

sighting observer vas certain it wa lorger in body than as any of the stars or other
heavenly bodles. Since the pilot making the observation was flying an F-bh-0 a/e at
tine, he was 'mable to note whether the object was accompenied by any sound. Its
means of ropulslon was likawise unknown. First ingreusion of description offered by
observer vas that this object appeered to be a cluater of ligats rotating slowly in a
countar-clockrise direction or from E to W. The object was unustal in its color effects. 8
Its body whose ahap can only be aaswed to be circular gave off tree, red-white-green.
These ore the colors that gave the rotating atis effect when sighled, This rotation wao
constant during both obeervations (totaling 12 rinutes). The shirting of the 3 colors .
during their cyele of rotation vas slmilar to the change in colcrs often seen in popu-
lar makes of juke-bokes. As these colors rotated in the body of the object, at times .
the entire body was  solid color, either vhite, red or green, but in the process of
