Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska — 1 ™ 1 —
At 1015 CSP, 25 September 1992, a/10 James 0. Howell, AP1225;165, leadquarters
Squadron Division, Strategic Alr Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, was de-
parting a building occupied by wnit Supply Roam. ‘is attention was attracted to the
sound of an aircraft in the immediate vicinity. Upon looking directly overhead he
observed a ammll object, at a very high altitude, which appeared to be stationary. _
After a few moments object moved in an Sasterly directio where it was joined by a
second object of a similar nature. Both moved off toward the East and disappeared.
A few moments later one object reappeared proceeding in a ‘lesterly directions
A/1C Howell summoned 5/Szt Robert 3. Lewis, 4737736757, same orrenization, and
called hia atcantion to the objectse ‘och Airmen observed objects for aporoximately
five minutes after which one object clinbded out of sight and was followed by the
second.
The objects appeared round and were silver in color. ‘<llection was noted.
Sise appeared to be equal to that of "a quarter." An estimate or altitude not
available other than statement of Airmen —"at a very hich altitude.”
Movement of objects was at times stationary followed by Westeto fast and
East to West flight path.
Other airoraft noted were one (1) B47 at high altitude, leaving vapor trails
and one (1) f-ll at approximately 5000 feet.
