DETAILS :

1. This investigation opened at the direction of District Commander,
predicated upon information furnished b Director, Security
Division, Los Alamos Field Office, Atomic Fnergy Commission, Los Alemos, New
Mexico, concerning the observation of an unidentified aerial light.

2. On er 1952, ir, GC, ur. Send dir.
Inspectors, U.S. Atomic Energy Protective Force, Los Alamos,

New Mexico, reported the sighting of a moving white light travelling in a
Westerly direction -- the light varying in density from "very dim" to "near
glaring". The light approached from the East -- stopped, then proceeded South
at about two hundred (200) to three hundred (300) miles per hour. The light
was observed by @impand MMafor approximately three (3) minutes. Color,
size, shape, or odor given off by light not known. No exhaust trail was noted.
The light appeared to approach observers from the East, stop, then proceed
Southward -- stopping occasionally. Also witnessing the light was

2 Septenber 1952, by @irrespectively. Point of sighting, Los
Alamos, New Mexico. Mr. that approximately three (3) minutes
after the light disappeared toward the South, the same proceedure of appear-
ance, stopping, and then proceeding Southward by a similar light occurred.
