miles distant. The sise of the targat estinatad inately
that of a.

in a general southerly direction for a distance of one (1) mila; a maneuver
which.involved l.two (2) mimates. It remained Iin a near statioary position
for four (4) minutes. The objeet then began ry slow movenent north for
an oprorimate period of three (3) mimutes where it again assumed 2 station-
ary posi tion for two(2) nimtes, then disappeared comple taly. The target
reappeared appraxima taly three (3) minutes later and began a more rapid
movement in nartherly dire etion for approximately fifty (50) miles (from
CPS-5 eat which point it disappeared from the PPI scope. The near-
est estimate rate of speed was forty-five fifty (50) miles

"flying saucer." At approximately 2235, facing southwest, he saw an
object moving across the sky at a speed less than that of a jet but
seemingly greater han that of a conventional aireraft. It had no
blinking lights on its wings and no flaming exhaust
of motor, as a hum was heard which seemed to be undred yards behind
the object. Its color was red in distinction to stars, which were
be round. It did not seem to burning, yet th ast a
reddish glow. e flying at an altitude of between 3,000
