SUMMARY: (inter concise summary of report, Give tignincencs in paragraph. Lim inclorures at lower left. Begin test of report on AF Form 119—Part IL.)
This Office received the enclosed correspondence
concerning the observation of an unidentified flying object
co Nr Se .
Since the subject letter includes great detail, the cor-
respondencs should suffice in presenting the facts surrounde
ing the observation and will not be elaborated upon in this
report.
The only «iditional information that this Office can
supply is that «ne weather at the time of the observation may
be described as 7-mile visibility with high scattered forma-
tione There wers no military or civilian aircraft reported
to be in the «ren at the time; however, this is not conclusivs
proof that air-reft were not in the vicinity. Civilian
authorities «* ‘“arrisburg State Airport indicated that weather
balloons had ‘en released some time earlier, disclaiming the
probability tnat they were in the observer's area at the time.
This Office can offer no definite explanation for the
sighting.
