SUMMARY: (Znter conclee summary of report. Give significance in final one-sentence paragraph. List inclorures at lower left. Begin tezt of report on AF Form 112~—Part 11.) |
faree unidentifled flying cbjects were sichted over liortheast Albuquer ua
by two elty flre department employees at three different intervals during a day |
of clear skys except for a few scattered cuammlus clouds over the mountainous
area north and east of the city.
fhe first object was aichted at 1345 NST approaching from the northeas
toward the observers at a hich altitude and an extrezely hich spesd. It had 2
clreular shape, a shinning silver color, no visible source of propulsion, and
no sound could be heard. The object aporosxched to a point estinated at four
@tles from the observers and then rose in a sharp clockwise circle. Sight was
lost beeause of the higher altitude attained. 3
Two similar objects appreached at a lower altitude (estimated ab 15,000ft.)
from above the mountains northeast of the observers at 1400 VST. They moved in
a straight line and appeared to move faster than the first object. Lobh seemed
to be of ths same design as the first object, but had an orangs or light brown
coloxe The objects turned abruptly when they reached a point approximately on
a forty (40) degree angle to the observers and turned to a northuest course.
Tha objects seemed to be thirty (30) to forty (40) feet in diameter at this
point, which way the closest approach of an object at any time. The two objects
floe in close formaticn toward the northwest until sirfht was lost.
4 third sighting vas mule of an object flying high over the jwountains north-
eaoh of the city at 1440 ST. It had the sane characteristics as the first
object spotted at 1345 NST. The object was flying among scattered cumulus clouds
hich over the mountains in a curving course from northeast to southeast. Sight
wos lost due to the high altitude rained by the object.
whe above mentioned objects were unfamiliar to tha observers and seemed to
have mo characteristics siallar to alreraft seen by them in this vicinity.
