At 16587 om the 25th of May 1952 while on duty as scope oper- .
ator on seope No. 2, I deteoted what appeared to be an crdinary
target. Upon detection of the. target I allowed-one more sweep to
determins it's direction and estimated speed to be sure it was a
target. The original detection of this target was at 145 Deg. at
61 miles. However, on the following sweep, the get had faded.
I contimed my surveillance of this are the third swesp
I detected a.blip at 145 Deg. at.51 Again I allowed an 30
other sweep to determine. whether this. h Sane ar another. .
target and again the target faded.On to following sweep what
appeared to the sane target painted at 145 I Deg. at 41 miles..
At this time-I notified the controller of it's position ard
excessiv The target was .then plotted and the grid relayed
to Offside fa fther action. This was the last paint detected 8
on this target.
