South end of the Salton Sea. At 1150Z, control tower Yuna sighted an
orange and blue object 320 and 20 miles from his position Hovering in one position
it changed to another position and began hovering again. Operator said it was sighted
for too long a period to be falling star. From 1100Z NAS had a
(4) F9F's air porne on a local flight.

had not personally Sighted any of the objects reported, nor did he personally know any
of the individuals concerned. However, he furnished a copy of the report recieved by

Q. Where approximately were you first observed the objects?
A. I was on 9th and H Streets in Imperial and H Streets in Imperial at 0310 AM 13 May 52. Our

hours, 19 May 1952.
Q. Will you relate what you actually saw on the early morning of 13 May 52?
A. About 10 after 3 AM (0310), I was with Officem , at 9th and H
Strests searching for an address, when I saw an odd glars coming down-
shining down, and attracted 8 attontion. We stopped the car and
got out. We counted five objects cireling, orbiting. There was no sound
nor extraordinary movements. They were circling over Brawley, California.
(appeared to be) Then they broke off circling and two of them headed
South in the general direction of the Naval Aif Station They were every
fast. Much faster than a jet.

Arizona, at 1135 May 1952.
Upon being stated that he had observed the same
phenomenon on several occasions rollowing the first sighting on l3 May 52. It
always occurred at a position approximately 320 from the control tower, and
at a distance which he estimated at being approximately 10 to 15 miles. Con-
sequently, he was convinced 'that the "object" caused by the lection of
headlights on the highway at night a position This was confirmed by

scanned the sky with 7 x 50 binoculars and at·0450 hours sighted two (2)
bright orange objects at 3oo degrees true. dvised further that
these objects could not be seen the naked eye and that they appeared
to be about one (i) foot in diameter appeared to be round.
. further advised that the object
2500 to 5000 feet. also state he watched the objects for
about thirty (30) minutes and they were moving back and forth across the
sky from 290 degrees to o about 305 degrees, as indicated on the crash map,
and appeared to be getting further away all the time until finally they
disappeared. advised that a bean of light similar to that of a
search light came from one of the objects and that the beam of light kept
going on and off in different directions from the object. also
advised that very short but continuous trails o what appeared to be flame
came out of both objects. urther advised that it was dark when he
first sighted the objects and the weather was very clear.
When asked concerning airline stated that at that
date, Western Air Lines had two one at about l000
hours and one about 2100 hours.
