towurd the aircraft. Tne light pulcated at an estinated 3 to & tines per second, ond
2ssed cverhead with great speed in about 2 seconds, after which observation wau
blocked by the B=29 airframe. The light only was seen, with no visible ae The
base and sides of the fen were sharply defined and the trailing edge indefinite. Tre
has@ appsared aspproximtely 50 feet across, extending to 100-155 [eat at the trailing
edze. 4o audible sound was heard, nor any radio interference noted, No interphone
shock was made at the time, but subsequent questioning of the craw by this observer,
indicates that no other crew murber saw the object.
Investigation of possible meteoric o: other natural phenomena with the Department
of sie a Vashburn University, Tope! ka, Kansas, produced negative rasults. No
unusual activity was reported by this source,
The Kansas City Air Traffic Control Center reported that no other air traffic
