200 feet long, with a thickness of 1/5 the length. The
object resembled fused glass, being grayish to invisible
in color. The entire surface was covered with black
polka dotted spots There WAS no exhaust vapor trail,
excepting swath esemblin very weak rainbow. There
was no sound emanating from the object. The sighted
object was in view for appr oximately 20 seconds, at which
point it disappeared ly, as though gone
into a cloud bank.

AF Base, was interviewed with regard to his observations surrounding
SUBJECT aircraft. Informant stated that he was with Capt
ing of 24 July 1951 and that he Saw 9 long tubelike object such as the one
described by Capt further stated that be could supply no more
information than the Captain and relying on s judgment
as to the height and speed of the question. Informant's knowledge
experience with military aircraft is negligible and there is nothing in
his background that would lend credence to his ability to estimate height
and speed of exceptionally fast moving object.
