Colors Silvery, aluninun, metallic, brighter than u white cloud. Never gave off any
reflection as a bricht wetallic object might have.

Number of Objects: Two at first sighting. One at lator sigiitinge

Aerodynamic Foatures: Nons distinguishiable.

Trail ow Mxhbaust: None on the first two objucts. The third object appeared to have a
teailing edge, slightly thinner than the object itself, and Lighter in color; honever, no
abrupt change from the object to the trailing edge. Source coulda’ tail if the raar
thisd of the object was exhaust or part of the object,

Speed: Impossible to judgsa. At times appeared to be standing still. Never any rapid
movement; howsver, sources judge that if the objects ners much mre than fourtean miles
distant, eves if the objects aoved at severnl hundred miles per hour they would harily have
noticed ths movement.

ound: Wone.

Mansuvers Vhen the first two objects were sighted thoy were slowly moving in opposite
directions. Ons was about as far ubove the other object as the Length of one of the objects,
and ebout ong hulf the length of one of the objects apart. Ons object then appeared to

stop its forward motion and slowly turned conmplelaly end over end, at one point beinz in 2
vertical position. On completing the turn the object resuned its forward motion in the sass
diredtion as the other object. In this end over end isaneuver the loading end want up.
Object #3 was observed in this peculiar movament = the object stopped the forward movensnt,
the Ilsading end want upward, the end moving dum again as if the center wis on a fulcrnua,
¥Yhen the object was in « vertical position the object seamed to shorten and thicken, then
it tent and continued to move until agein Jn a horizontal position, when it straightened
out, became long and thin again, and procesded to move in the opposite dirsction.

Manner of disappearanca: Simply vanished. From the tine they were seen very clearly to
when nothing was observed, Liftesa to twenty seconds elapsed. ‘iha objects did not vanish
by moving behind the lins of sight or by moving out cf signt ~ they simply became loss and

e33 cloar until nothing wp

driving, and sbopped twica to better view ths objacts.

Note: If sources traveled 30 mph for fifteen ainutes they would have traveled 7) miles -
yet they stated they drove 9 miles, and they stated they atopped twice for a "minute ov go"

REPORTIIG OF FICER's COVNENTs It is belioved what sources probably aaw were sleeve tursata
tewed by Air Force planes from tha Muroc Air Porce Dasa. The strange aansuvers of tha

siseves could have been cased by an upward turn of the tow plane. If not a sleeve, it is
believed possible that what sources sew was an optical illusion or daylight vereioa of the

pherowera called aurore borealis. The intorviowing officer doos not balieve this sishciag
is vorth invastigating. Since the interviewing officer had no nay judging the worth of the
roport until sources were interviewed, sand since Lt is not up to the intarviewtue officer to

ciscount any report as being worthless, itt was written up for whatever it may by worth,
