According to that excellent commentator “SE you have been
withholding some "saucer" facts from the public, I plead with you to
withhold nothing. You must admit that the Air Force's contradictions in
the past, its acknowledeements and its demhls, have done it no credit,
and have made the thinkine piblic completely suspicious of it.

Gentlemen :- \
IT have just finished reading 81nrelt's excellent summation
in TRU" magazine, I completely agree with allihis statements axcent that the
Air Force has no knowledge of the "landine" of a U.*.0.,
T think it most odd that the Air Force spent thousands on track-
ine down patently fictitious accornts of "little men", and syblimelv ienored
the factwal accounts of landines of U.*,.0s. such as the six foot, mrnl--.
Plowing sphere which cently alighted onto a Philadelphia field, September 30,
1950 (which, when touched by one of the policeman who Saw 3t fall, demater
Yartsed into a sticky film). It appears to me that such accounts smack too
much of the supernormal (preternatural) and are hence conveniently excluded
from A.T.I.C. files.
--_—
I note, with some interest, that vou maintain a file initialed
"C. P." into which you dump any and all letters written vo bv those interest-
ed in the "flyine saucers! I heve received some verv"odd" letters in replv .
to my "saucer" pieces in the Saturday Fvenine Post and life magazines, and I
can well svmpathize with von on this point, but I certainly trust von have the
good sense to discriminate,’ and not throw out the wheat with the chaff, simmlv
because it is in letter form.
Relative to the West Palm Beach fiasco and the Adamski bid for
publicity, shovld you read a 1953 copv of (excuse the stupid title) FAT"
magazine, vou will see where I stronely questioned the anthenticity of both
the scoutmaster's and "Professor" Adamski's "encounters! JT can smell a fraud
ten miles off. To think that the Air Force spent a fair sum to investirate
the West Palm Reach tale. Seems incredible. The West Virginia "monster"
appeared to be well wath lookine into, but appears to have been shrugged off
by Intellirence with a cute remark.
Incidentally, Adamski is booked in London halls for his lecture
tour this summer. I understand that a fellow SOUTH@RN CALIFORNIAN -—-- is
touring the United States describing his trip in a "saucer". His name: Orfeo
Anrelucci,=— a little fellow I'll swear is trying to compensate for a feelin”
of gloomy inadequacy and bore‘om in the plastics division of Lockheed Aircraft. /
