SUMMARY OF INFORMATION os

r ££
At approximately 1500 hours, 23 June 1950, a telephone call was received from
the Editor, Tuscaloosa Sun, Tuscaloosa, Alabema. He stated that at about 1300
hours, 23 June 1950, 20 to 30 people saw, over the outskirts of Tuscaloosa, Ala.,
what they described as a flaming cross, red in color, moving slowly across the
sky at an altitude of about 5,000 feet. It was visible for about 30 minutes,
and then disappeared into a thunderhead cloud, which had come up over the object.
