The 1919th AACS Squadron at Brookley AF Baee, Alabamn, reported an
unidentified object flying to the northeast or east over the base at 2000oz, 10 April
1950, control tower operator on duty
at the time saw & steady light in the northeast a 45 degree angle from the tower. 1
This light appeared to be moving very fast across line of sight and was only.
visible for about three seconds. Two planes in th over the field at the time
also reported seeing the light. One pilot said he the light for 30 seconds at
an altitude of 3500 feet The tower, Bates Municipal Airport Alabann
called on the fiold seeing the object

reading glasses. She was with her young son at the time of observation, and both
she and her son observed the objeot at the same time. There was nothing between
observers and objeot that would have impaired their visions.
