describing 8 wide arch on the wouthern perimeter, from East to West. The
distance or height was not known to SOURCE. The I missile was seen l to
minutes, each time. SOURCE heard l no noises whatsoever and stated that the
same observations.were made by other PWs. To confirm his statement he e gave
the address of a fellow PW in AACHEN (50/47 N- 06/17Ewho made the same

times the object was seen above the sane site. The attention of the I's at
work was attracted to the object when suddenly a fellow P' exclained: "Look,
what is that over there in the sky." When looking in the direction in which
the PW was pointing, Source got sight of an unknown flying object which he had - d never

prised as the German PWs and discussed what it could be. They could not find
an answer to it, and were of the opinion that it was s sonething new and that it
had nothing to do with a meteorological station. As there was no advertising in
Russia, it was impossible that it was something of that kind, especially as the
strange arrangement of the parts of this object would not have been of any sense
for advertising. Source stated that there were cumulus clouds in the sky the
first time he saw the object. He estimated that the object had d an altitude of
about 5,000 meters, judging from its distance from and

flying object may have been about 5,000 to 3,000 meters avay from his 2oint
of observation. Source described the object as being one vertical rod above
which five soherical itens were arrançed in the way as is shown on inclosure
1, this report, perspective and too view. From his point of observation the
flying rod had the size of a pencil but may have been about l0 meters long and
30 centimeters in diameter if the distance to the object is taken into considera-
tion. In comparison with the diameter of the rod, the soherical items had a
diameter of about three times the dianeter of the rod, namely about 90 to l00
centimeters. The soherical items and the rod seened to have been painted all
