direction for about 2\f}$ minutes when it disappeared from
West and North view by gradually mOring out of sight.

SYNOPSIS
This investigation was conducted at the request of the
District Commander, 9th OSI District, upon receipt of informa-
tion that an unidentified aerial phenomenc had sighted
over of Alexandria Louisiana
Investi revealed that on July 1949
and Mrs
way, Alexandria, Louisiana, sighted an object which they
described as being round, about six (6) inches diameter,
and having no visible means propulsion.

cided differently when it changed its direction several times.

1414 Jefferson Highway, revealed that on 7 July 1949, at approx-
imately 2100 hours, Mrs. Mrs. and Mrs
were sitting on the front porch at 1821 Warshauer
Street, when no very bright object in the sky.
The object to be coming straight down and had the appearance
and speed lling star vith of exhaust and no

northerly direction approximately twe e-half(2)
minutes. The object then began to increase ltitude, slightly
hours, July 1949. It was learned that only one (1) Piper Cub
airplane, with no landing lights, was shooting landings at
approximately 2100 hours. There wAS no other reported aircraft
in the vicinity at the time and HAV weather station did not
send a balloon int the sky
