NARRATIVE SUMMARY:
Mrorrotated that at approxdmately 1110 hours 17 June 1249, while
standing in hor backyard, sho saw a large (about the size of a Douglas 3 DC-L aircraft)
round object in the air approximately four miles southeast of her home in the direo-
tion of San Diego, Calif. Mr3 Solby judged it was about four thousand fcet in the
air, and moving rapidly away from har Mrg. Selby stated: "it mas definitely not a
jet aircraft although it's speed in keoping with a jet than the nore con-
ventional aircraft." The description according to Mr3. "a chromium plated
pie tin." "It was much brightor than the ordinary aircraft". Ir. Solby further stated
there weas dofinitely no protusions (such as wings or verticle stabalizorsa3 the
object turned in a wide arc away from her. When queried : recarding smoke or vapor

tered and these objects had a cloar aky with stars behind tham during their entire
travel.
I served in the Marino Corps in the Pacific during the lnst war I am
familiar with flares, airplane lights, search lisESnd I'm convinced it was nano

I have seen falling stars scoreo of tines before, saw several in the sky
at the same timo, bu rer saw any beiave such as these or l long, as they
did. It might be altogetl possible for falling star framen ollowing the samo
path to repell and each other such as these did, b ey do, I never
heard of it. I hope that is the explanati on of wat wo saw I still don't
want to believe in the so called "flying discs"!
