4. Position of observer: Standin: on ground 5 to 10 feet on
east side of building 4709, Fort Bliss, Texas.

5. What attracted attention to object: A flashing object
in the sky.

6. Number of objects: One object.

7e Apparent size: About the size of my thumb nail at

9. Shape: Round and thin like a quarter dollar, Apparently

rocked giving an edgewise and sidewise view, Rocking at irregular
intervals.

10. Altitude: About a 30° angle.

An interview vith enlisted men of the 39th AAA Battalion reveeled
that the observers ere reliable in character end intelligence.

Did observer wear glasses, especially polaroid glasses at time of

sighting or was object viewed through canopy, window, or other transparent
material: Binoculars were used by Cp] eigaeaiagial- end Pvt after
initial observation.

visibility, 50 miles; temperature, 70 degrees; relative humidity, 23%;
Dewpoint, 33; altimeter: 016,

15. Speed: In 5 minutes it apparently moved about 15 to 20 miles

judging from its position at time of first sight to a position apparmily
over the mountain range.
