gards to any unusual occurences that might have taken place in the skies on or
about 7 Apr 1949. He stated that he had niether seen or heard of anything that
might be construed as even slightly unusual either before, on, or after the time

| in question, Likewise, none of his associates have reported to him amything of
an unusual nature. He was equally positive that if amrthing out of the ordinary
had occurred, he would have been one of the first to know about it. (B-2)

(15). On 2 June 19)9, Dr. cep Director of the Observatory, Vanderbilt
University, Nashville, Tennessee, was interviewed and stated that the object sighted
over Charlotte, North Carolina 7 April 199 was not observed from the Vanderbilt

University Observatory. Dr, Lame further stated that he had no knowledge of the
object sighted in North Carolina, and is unable to furnish any pertinent information.

insulator (part of the lighting system) was observed coasting an unusual and weird
reflection of the lizhts and Mr, SiGe and Mr. gggemMoositively identified it
