gaw the object it made a half loop-like turn and headsd North-
wast at a jet like rate of speed. Due to its shape it did not
resemble anything that I had wsver sean before in the sky, nor
was thers any apparent propulsion vapor or haat waves.
When seen, the object was so far away that it would be
impossible to estimate its size and then azain 1t was in sight

On Friday, 4 March 1949, at about 2:30 P.M., I and thrse
other employess of Watson Laboratories wars looking skyward at
an approaching 8-29, when my attention was attracted to a
snow white dissc-like object which appeared at that moment
to be under the port wind of a B-29. I callad it to the
attention of the other fellows with me and they saw it, too.
The object was moving to the left of the pliant and, wheel-
ing to the right, it disappeared into space. TI had the im-
pression that it was moving under its own power. The tcd&t al
time of cbservat on was approximately ons minute. We all azread
Chat it was different from anything we had aven seenin the
sky before,
