3090 feet, continually gaining altitude and then suidenly departed, still
slimbing on a straight course of 25 degrees magnetic [t * the opinion
of the witness that the object had limited maneuverability, and that no
audible sound emanated from thse object. Thers was no exhaust trail visible.
2, The witness was much impressed by the brilliance of thse whiteness
of the underside of the object and stated that orior to the disappearance
of the object at a distance of 40 to 50 miles from Hickam Fiala, the odject
anes seemed to give off a blinking whitish reflection and, a ecording to the
witness, this dDlinking seemed to ¢o on and off with decided x ~exulaz rity.
3, Cap eported the presence of a 0-54 type aircraft in the
ah aeatee of Hickam Field at the time of the initial sighting of the object,
ui he stated that hea was almost convinced that this object was released
from or by this 0-54 aircraft
4. Capt. Mer coorted that, at all times and during the departure
of the odbjact, the undulation of tha object was extremely rhythmical and
taat this rhythmical cycles was compisted aovroximately once every second,
5S, When obdjact wltimately devarted on a Straignt course, if appeared
to increase speed end also to increases the angle of climbd so that the angels
»f elimbd approximated 25 degrees, Witness stated that 1+ was extremely
difficult to approximate the rate of speed during departure due to the dis-
taace involved and the intermittency of the reflection, Witness stated
that 14 was hiwu cpoinaion that this object was under absolute control at all
sa
times and that derlaite gyrations were being executed, The turns were ex-
tremely wide and iacisivs,
5, The opinion of Capt <—_fifiiiizes 1 this subdject 13 considered to bea
worthy of consider at.on as this officer ia an extremely cool and Level-headed
cersoa, who i3 not given to tne making of rash statements or using poor
jicjgment,

ters concerning the object as reported, this headquarters will be ready to
