l. This office has received a newspaper clipping, a copy of which is attached, in-
Gicating the sighting of mysterious white balls of fire. Other operations are also

described. The availability of the information listed below will be necessary for use
in conjunction with Project No. HT=504;

to know specifically: |

(1) What were the exact purposes of the parachute descents? State number
of personnel involved and equipment carried,

(2) What tyne parachutes were used? Obtain desimm and construction de-

sound, exhaust trail or effect on the clouds that were observed,
