Incident 23 -- Boise, Idano -- 30 June 1947
It seems exeeedinaly probatle that the cuject ouserved
in tnis incident was a comoination sum-cloud effect. The altitude
of the sun was 300, azimuth 2300. At that time of the afternoon,
the sun's position was such that it could easily have illuminated
a background cloud which was perhaps almost entirely covered by a
foreground cloud. (scise weathor reports indicate an entirely foreground cloud. (cise weathor reports indicate an entirely
glear sky, cut the report of the ineident itself states that the clear sky, cut the report of the ineident itself states that the
ouject "seemed to bo clin;ing to a huge cloud.") ouject "seemed to bo clinjing to a huge cloud.") This investigator
himself has ouserved such effects.
